Our distressed bison leather handlebar tape is made 100% in North America. The bison leather is raised in the US. All of our cycling bar tape and bicycle grips are made in our workshop in Austin, TX.
Our bison bar tape is soft and durable for a strong grip and lasting value. This leather has a soft feel. If you want maximum grip, try our shrunken bison options. Our leather bar tape is made from 6ft + long seamless strips with thinned, finished edges. We strive to make local, sustainable cycling products for all cyclist and bicycle riders.

United StatesMy leather bar tape looks great and wrapped easily. And when I had a question, the company owner called me while he was on the road. Customer service doesn’t get better tan that. A tip: check out the bar wrapping video on YouTube, which is especially helpful for wrapping the twine.
United StatesI have been using my distressed honey bison leather tape for a year. With other types of bar tape, they wear out with age. With bison leather, the more I have used it the more character it has developed. I don’t know if “patina” is a word to use with leather, but I like it. It has darkened with age but it is better looking than it was new. I get positive comments about it a lot. I have no idea how long it will last, but I will just say I bought another roll of exactly what I have for the day it finally wears out. After buying new tape, Mr Leh said if it was just shifting on the bar (which it has over the year), I could unwrap it, put some double stick on it and rewrap it. Anytime it looks less than lustrous, I just wipe on the conditioner, and it looks great again. I highly recommend. Just as a disclaimer: I still have my Willie Mays baseball glove from when I was a kid. Leather love.
